Wee Waa Golf Club’s annual ladies’ open day was successfully contested by 34 players on Sunday, July 30.
Travelling players arrived from Narrabri, Boggabri, Moree, Bingara, and Werris Creek to take part in the 2023 event alongside the local Wee Waa golfers.
A delicious morning tea and lunch were provided by Wee Waa ladies, and from all reports it was home cooking at its best.
A beautiful day of weather and 18 holes of golf was had by all, and the event organisers congratulated the winners.
A results list is as follows:
Gross winners – Leisa Eather and Louise Penberthy (Narrabri).
Gross runners-up – Jan Moore and Jenny Fisher (Werris Creek).
Net winners – Rhonda Palmer (Wee Waa) and Sarah Voss (Sydney).
Net runners-up – Bernie Houlahan and Jane Armitage (Bingara).
Front nine winners – Anne Henry (Toowoomba, formerly Wee Waa) and Anna Baird (Wee Waa).
Back nine winners – Peg Penberthy and Chrissy Southwell (Narrabri).
