Wee Waa and District Pre-School children brightened the day of residents at Whiddon, with a spectacular singing performance.
The children visited Whiddon, Wee Waa on Friday, July 28, when a morning tea was held to connect with community members and raise awareness about dementia.
Educating people about dementia helps to reduce the stigma and discrimination sometimes experienced by those living with dementia and their carers.
As reported in Thursday’s The Courier, Whiddon Group’s leisure activities officer Liz Berger said the pre-school children were a highlight of the morning event.
Visitors also toured the well-maintained gardens and participated in activities.
“We enjoyed a fantastic morning, with residents, family and visitors,” said Mrs Berger.
Talented resident Gloria Galagher won the cupcake decorating competition and Liz Berger claimed first-prize in the non-resident category.
