This year’s Narrabri Chamber of Commerce Business Awards has seen a strong turnout of nominations.
In excess of 300 nominations have been received, resulting almost 90 finalists across the awards night’s many categories.
Chamber president Russell Stewart was pleased with the continued support.
“The Chamber of Commerce Business Awards are really highly anticipated,” Mr Stewart said.
“Our local people and businesses see it as a wonderful things to support.”
Mr Stewart said achieving more than 300 nominations had been consistently achieved in recent years. He thanked the many people who celebrate success by nominating businesses for the awards.
“All categories are well represented,” he said.
“Judges will have a tough time deliberating again.”
A source of great pride for Mr Stewart is seeing all businesses – from single-person enterprises to larger groups – acknowledged on the night.
“A single-person business has just as much chance of winning an award as a bigger business. That is the beauty of the awards night,” he said.
“Every year we get excited when we see the number of new businesses nominated. Our awards night is a great reason to tell the judges all about what you do.”
At this year’s gala dinner at The Crossing Theatre, comedian Lindsay Webb will be welcomed back by popular demand as master-of-ceremonies.
The comedian has featured frequently at comedy festivals in Australia and overseas, including the acclaimed Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Tickets to this year’s business awards dinner are $110 for chamber members and $125 for non-members and include dinner and a drinks package.
Mr Stewart has encouraged people to secure their tickets at The Crossing Theatre before the event sells out.
