Narrabri Probus Club never needs a reason to celebrate, and celebrate they did, this time with their annual Father’s Day luncheon at the RSL on Tuesday.
President Stuart Barnes once again gave a short welcome. Fun was on the menu as well as a raffle to commemorate the occasion.
Gift vouchers were well-sought-after by fathers, grandfathers, and great-grandfathers of the group with first and second prizes of $50 and $25.
Once again the smorgasbord lunch rotisserie was the highlight for the group as well as the opportunity to gather in the name of friendship and fun.
The club for retirees comes together to encourage social connections, with tens of thousands of members across Australia and New Zealand.
Many friendships have sprung for the retirees, thanks to exploring shared hobbies, taking group trips, and meeting to commemorate annual events such as Christmas in July, and Father’s Day.
