Once someone steps beyond the glass doors of Narrabri’s art deco gem that is the Tourist Hotel, the focus is on ensuring they have the best customer experience.
That customer focus has seen the Maitland Street venue take out top honours in hospitality at the Narrabri and District Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.
“The moment they walk into the Tourist Hotel we want them to feel welcome and have a good time,” said general manager Morgan Jones.
“A high level of professionalism and attention to detail is front of mind.”
The Maitland Street venue continues to evolve, ensuring that the experience changes on a regular basis.
Improvements have taken place in the private dining room, with a refreshed decor, and further venue enhancement plans are in the works.

Accepting the hospitality award at the business awards dinner were Joel Huggins and Mackenzie Russell.
A refreshed spring/summer menu will mark its debut next week, with new options sure to suit everyone’s tastes.
The Tourist Hotel also continues its focus on events, with celebrations to mark Halloween (October 28) and the Melbourne Cup (November 7) the next items on the venue’s busy calendar.
“We saw the success of our Barbie cocktail party,” Morgan said.
“We are always looking to spice up your week and weekend.
“This is such a beautiful pub and we want to make sure the experience reflects that.”
The versatility of the Tourist Hotel ensures it is a place where people are able to dress up for a dining experience while also ensuring it caters for people who want to kick back for a few cold drinks.
“It’s a big venue that meets everyone’s needs,” Morgan said.
“We put a lot of emphasis on our staff.
“We have a great team and can’t do what we do without them. They enjoy working here, and we hope our patrons enjoy it just as much.”
