The much-anticipated Pilliga Christmas Tree gathering was held on Saturday, December 2.
This year Santa arrived in style, courtesy of local police officer Steve Cruickshank and he delivered gifts to 53 excited children ranging in age from babies to 13 years old.
The spirit of Christmas was on full display with hot food and cold drinks kindly provided by the Pilliga Community Centre members.
A large crowd gathered for the start of various raffles, generously donated by the local business houses of Wee Waa.
“The Pilliga Christmas Tree would like to send a huge thank you to all the business houses for their support in donations for enabling this event to continue year after year,” said community member Jenny Stewart.
“The Pilliga Christmas Tree has been going for well over 70 years and it is a credit to everyone involved.
“Each year lots of local families return to support the event. A great night was had by all.
“Merry Christmas to all our supporters.”
