Hundreds of shoppers, browsers, locals and visitors just dropping in for a look, thronged Narrabri Rotary’s riverside markets on Saturday morning.
It was a busy scene – perhaps the busiest market day yet.
Stalls and customers filled the village common and cars were parked on both sides for the length of Selina Street from bridge to bridge.
This was the first of two Christmas markets to be held and the community embraced the opportunity.
There was much meeting up and socialising, with the pre-Christmas atmosphere further brightened by the music of talented guitarist-vocalist Amarnie Grace.
Fifteen year old Amarnie, a Narrabri High School student, performed songs, old favourites and new numbers from a wide repertoire all morning to her appreciative audience.
