Chris Shoobert was the winner of the Best Street Car category at the Narrabri Christmas Carnival with his 1976 Torana. A highlight of the Christmas Carnival was the drawing of The Courier and Wee Waa News shop local promotion. Santa Claus drew the winning tickets from the barrel watched by scrutineer, Chamber of Commerce president Russell Stewart. Winners will spend their prize money in local participating stores. Above, promotion sponsor Santos was represented by Abby McClure, with Santa Claus, The Courier advertising coordinator Di Ainsworth, The Courier managing director Wanda Dunnet and Chamber president Russell Stewart.
