On Saturday, February 24, the Pilliga Fishing Club held its annual presentation of trophies, annual general meeting and dinner.
This year it was held at the Pilliga pub with the new owner Amanda Ryan agreeing to sponsor our club with monthly prizes for the winners.
Junior winners listed below.
Longest carp: Sophie and Evis Smith – 78 centimetres.
Runner-up: Daryl Smith – 76 cm.
Longest yellowbelly: Jai Doolan – 51 cm.
Runner-up: Mikey Smith – 50cm.
Longest cod: Laycey Maxwell – 63 cm.
Runners-up: Tyleena Smith and Jai Doolan – 57 cm.
Longest yabbie: Riley Haynes – 27 cm, Sophie Smith – 27 cm, Riley Haynes – 24cm.
Runner-up: Riley Haynes – 24 cm.
Winner of the Myley Maxwell Shield for the longest yabbie was awarded to Sophie Smith and Riley Haynes.

Runner-up: Damo Smith – 52 cm.
Longest cod: Damo Smith – 72 cm.
Runners-up: Ray Baldwin, Phil Stewart and Steve Johnson – 63 cm.

About 50 members attended and a great night was had by all.
