Six Narrabri Pistol Club members travelled to the Inverell RSM Pistol Club Range for the Inverell club’s fifth annual Metallic Silhouette 100-metre Small Bore and Field Pistol Open competition that ran from Friday to Sunday, May 24 to 26.

This competition was also a final hit out for three of the Australian team members, which include Narrabri’s Jason Anderson, before they head off to the International Metallic Silhouette Shooting Union (IMSSU) World Championships event, which will be held in Bloemfontein, South Africa, from Monday, June 3, to Thursday, June 13.

The IMSSU president Rob Boutcher will also attend those championships and expects the Australian team to feature in the results list.

Narrabri Pistol Club junior Chase Ford was the most successful of the Narrabri contingent over in Inverell, winning the junior small bore four match aggregate and placing second in the junior field pistol two match aggregate. He also won and placed in grade in the open matches. His results are as follows – production AA-grade – first with 35/40; revolver AA-grade – first with 31/40; unlimited B-grade – second with 20/40; field pistol production A-grade – third; field pistol any sight B-grade – second.

Other Narrabri club members’ 100-metre small bore results are as follows:
Jason Anderson – standing AAA-grade – third with 22/40; Tim Anderson – unlimited AAA-grade – third with 31/40; Billy-Dean Borodzicz – production AAA-grade – first with 39/40; revolver AA-grade – third with 26/40; standing AA-grade – first with 21/40; unlimited A-grade – first with 26/40; Matt Burke – revolver AA-grade – second with 27/40; standing AA-grade – third with 15/40; unlimited A-grade – second with 22/40; Jack Ford – production AAA-grade – third with 36/40; unlimited AA-grade – first with 29/40.

Narrabri club members’ field pistol results are as follows:
Jason Anderson – production sight off gun – third and AAA-grade – third with 25/40; any sight AAA-grade – second with 30/40; Tim Anderson – any sight AAA-grade – third with 29/40.
