A 54-year-old man was stopped by police at 11.45am on May 24 after leaving licensed premises in Maitland Street.
The man was discovered to have outstanding matters with police.
Officers also conducted a search of the vehicle and discovered two suitcases containing a total of 20 kilograms of cannabis in packaging.
Another male was arrested by police and later released.
The 54-year-old man was charged with two counts of contravening an AVO, by virtue of an outstanding warrant and supply a prohibited drug.
He was initially refused bail by police to appear in court.
The man was granted bail in court and will appear at Moree Local Court on June 17.
