Triples champions crowned

Tony Redman, Laurie Gilbert and Ron Ryan are the triples champions for 2023/2024.

They defeated Dave Dewar, David Field and Terry Wilson.

Dewar’s team led 9-3 after eight ends, 15-6 after 13 ends. Redman’s team then scored 1, 2 and 5 over the next three ends to put the score at 15-14. Dewar’s team then scored 1 on the 16th end to lead 16-14. Redman’s team won four of the last five ends to win the game 22-17.

Ladies’ consistency singles continued on Thursday with Janet Coleman defeating Val Falkiner 150-135.

On Saturday, Lorraine Scott defeated Eva Sadler 150-124.

Consistency singles will be played on Thursday, June 27.

Social bowls were played on

Thursday.

Three bowl pairs:

Marie Redman, Ronnie Dewar defeated Rhonda Fitzgerald, Eva Sadler 15-9.

Three bowl triples:

David Briggs played swinging lead and with Dawn Armstrong, Di Chessells defeated Janice Foxe, Tony Redman 18-13.

Stuart Coleman, Cecile, Lyn Tuckey defeated Helen Woodward, Kay Carolan, Steve Daskey 22-17.

There are no competition games set down for Saturday, June 29 but social bowls will be played from 10am. Leave your name on the list at the club or be at the club before 10am to have a game.
