Narrabri High braved the cool morning on June 14 to compete in the 2024 Athletics Carnival.
A positive turnout came to run, jump, throw, put and hop, skip and jump.
The carnival was a great success, congratulations to all students who participated on the day and to those who have been selected to represent our school in the at the North West Athletics Carnival in term three at Tamworth.
Congratulations to Lowana, the winning house on the day with over 1000 points earnt on the day.
New records were recorded on the day. Discus: Caitlin Evans: 16s Girls Discus 26.13m (from 25.60m J Mason Lowana 1993); Boys Relay – Lowana: Gabriel O’Connor, Rory Holman, Frazer Penberthy and Jarrad Lawler. (from Marara 2023); Girls Relay: Currong: Sienna Earle, Caitlin Evans, Josie Harvey and Fleur Eather (from Currong 2023).
Below is a list of the age champions for the event: Boys: 12s CJ Lamb, 13s Jesse James Quinn, 14s Lincoln Saunders, 15s Frazer Penberthy, 16s Rory Holman, 17+s Johnathan Charles.
Girls – 12s Maddison Connole, 13s Alexa Gordon, 14s Fleur Eather, 15s Maya Watson, 16s Caitlin Evans, 17+s Asher Kelly.
