The Rotary Club of Narrabri’s book sale will end this month, with its bag sale to get underway from Friday, July 19.
Book lovers will be able to bag a bargain – $10 a bag, to be exact.
The bag sale will operate this Friday, from 9am to 5pm and on Saturday from 9am to 12pm.
It will then continue from Tuesday, July 23 to Friday, July 26, from 9am to 5pm, and then the last day of the book sale will be Saturday, July 27, from 9am to 12pm.
Thousands of books across a variety of fiction and non-fiction genres fill the Maitland Street pop-up book shop, located next to CAMstart Pharmacy.
This year’s sale has again been a record-breaking success and is expected to raise more than $35,000 once it closes.
Rotary uses the funds raised at its book sale towards local projects and causes.
At last weekend’s Rotary changeover dinner, outgoing president Karen Kirkby detailed the many contributions made to the community in the past 12 months.
Dr Kirkby’s year as president had a large emphasis on youth, supporting the education pursuits of local students.
