Narrabri FC and Namoi United held a joint awards presentation event at the Tourist Hotel last month, where both team and individual success on and off the field were celebrated.
Namoi United’s first grade coach Neil Brayshaw, first grade assistant Darren Moodie and reserve grade co-coach Matt Urquhart thanked their players and everyone involved with the three-team venture for their contributions this year.
The joint Narrabri/Wee Waa/Moree team reformed for the 2024 season to play in the Northern Inland Premier League for the first time since 2016, and they were competitive in both grades.
Narrabri FC’s coach Ben Stride did the same for everyone who played or helped out for the Namoi League side.
Stride and club treasurer Kelsey Cooper were named Narrabri FC’s joint clubperson of the year winners, which saw Stride become the first person to have won the award twice, and Cooper become just the second female to win it.
