Very exciting to see the results of the recent local government elections with what appears to be mostly votes for positivity, productivity and prosperity.
An attitude we need with the huge enviable position we find ourselves in. We need to celebrate and embrace a predominately positive council that can drive us forward to capitalise on all the glory.
Congratulations to all elected, it is an amazing and exciting time to have the privilege.
Narrabri Shire has more than $6 billion of economic output, which is incredible.
It is huge and diverse. Awaiting us is billions of dollars of projects.
We have one of the lowest unemployment rates in regional NSW and an extremely high job vacancy rate, meaning we are unbelievably short of people.
The Narrabri Place Strategy, formally a Special Activation Precinct, is a rare progressive collaboration between local and state governments that will be a game changer.
New housing, commercial and industrial precincts that we so desperately need are a priority and will help our growth into a major regional centre over the coming decades.
Let’s get behind our elected council and enjoy the prosperity that we currently enjoy and will be with us for a very long time to come.
