Sara Warren and her daughter Leigh Otto’s company Sara Leigh Au is the proud runner-up of the Home-Based Business category in the 2024 Narrabri Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.

At Sara Leigh Au, Sara and Leigh have been creating beautiful hand-crafted natural soy candles and home fragrances for just on three years, since 2021.

Their journey began when Leigh inspired a passion for creating candles for her friends.

At that time the family was living on a farm in Roma. They started off selling at local markets in Queensland.

Since then Sara and her family have relocated to Sara’s home town of Wee Waa.

Quality is at the heart of the business with the focus on testing and researching to ensure the candles and home fragrances are long-lasting and eco-friendly and perfect for any occasion.

The candles are hand-poured and made in small batches.

Sara can hand pour to order and ship within 24 hours.

The colour scheme of black and white with a hint of turquoise makes for gift packs which are distinctive.

As well as a broad range of candles, bath and body products, diffusers and gift packs, Sara Leigh Au also offers custom-made collections for weddings and special events.

For online shopping, visit www.saraleighau.com, find them on Facebook or follow Sara on Instagram.

To see the range and experience the aromas for yourself Sara Leigh Au will be at the Narrabri Markets on October 5 and November 2 as well as the Pally Bush Market on October 20 and the Lightning Ridge market on October 27.

Sara and Leigh are delighted with the honour of being recognised at the Business Awards.

“We love what we do and are over the moon to have received this award,” said Sara.
