People are being encouraged to recognise excellent community service by nominating people and organisations for a Narrabri Shire Australia Day award.
The awards recognise locals across the shire who have accomplished outstanding achievements in the last 12 months, as well as those who have made meaningful contributions to the community across numerous years.
Nominations for the 2025 honours are now open.
Shire residents are encouraged to get involved and submit individuals and community groups who deserve recognition for their hard work.
This is a great opportunity to celebrate the positive contributions many individuals and organisations make to the community, who may not always get the recognition they truly deserve.
The Narrabri Shire Australia Day nomination categories are:
Citizen of the year (aged 25 years or older as of January 26, 2025).
Young citizen of the year (aged 24 years or younger as of January 26, 2025).
