Narrabri Shire councillors have determined council representatives on organisations and committees for the next year.
The appointments were endorsed by councillors at last Monday evening’s meeting.
Central Northern Libraries Committee – delegate Cr Joshua Roberts-Garnsey, alternate Cr Ethan Towns.
Northern Regional Planning Panel – delegates Cr Darrell Tiemens and Cr Brett Nolan, alternates Cr Jocellin Jansson and Cr Ethan Towns.
Leards Forest Environmental Trust Committee – delegate Cr Joshua Roberts-Garnsey, alternate Cr Ethan Towns.
Hulbert Memorial Prize Committee – delegate is the mayor, Cr Darrell Tiemens.
Myall Creek Memorial Committee – delegates Cr Ethan Towns and Cr Darrell Tiemens, alternate Cr Jocellin Jansson.
Namoi Water – delegate Cr Ethan Towns, alternate Cr Greg Lamont.

Following the committee appointments, councillors voted on the council representation on the Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee.
The mayor serves as an ex-officio member of the committee along with one councillor representative.
Cr Jansson expressed her interest in the position, followed by Cr Lamont.
Cr Lamont’s nomination was voted on as an amendment to the initial motion of Cr Jansson being appointed to the committee. The amendment was seconded by Cr Erathnage, supported by Cr Roberts-Garnsey and was lost three votes to six.
Cr Jansson’s appointment to the committee was carried with eight votes, with Cr Lamont voting against the motion.
