Joan St John (formerly from Burren Junction and Tamworth) celebrated her 96th birthday at Swansea in October 2024.
Joan celebrated with her children and their partners, Robert and Sue, Elizabeth and Gerard (Stepien) Cherie and James (Pilditch) and Donna and Alan (Hawke) and some of her 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren with four more on the way!
Joan (nee Brayshaw) was born in Narrabri in 1928.
Joan is one of nine children, Charles, Joe, Boyce, Jack, Bill, Noreen, Shirley and her twin brother Noel.
The family all grew up on the family property ‘Noreen’, Burren Junction.
Joan married Bill St John (dec) in 1956 and they had five children, Robert, Peter (dec), Elizabeth, Cherie and Donna.
Joan lived in Burren Junction for 31 years and when Bill died in 1987, Joan moved to Tamworth where she resided for 37 years.
Joan is now living in the Southern Highlands with her daughter Donna and her husband Alan.
Joan is still enjoying life, especially with all the little great-grandchildren cheering her up.
