If ‘The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll’ Elvis Presley had been alive last Monday, January 8, 2025, he would be marking his 90th birthday.
The residents of the John Prior Multi Purpose Service celebrated with a special morning tea surrounded by clocks, photos, records, as well as Elvis singing some of his most famous and well known songs such as Can’t Help Falling in Love, Jailhouse Rock, Don’t Be Cruel, Love Me Tender, Return To Sender, Blue Suede Shoes and Hound Dog.
Diversional therapist, Lynda Furner guided the residents through craft sessions making the realistic records.
Donna Boyer wore her blue suede shoes and brought in family memorabilia to share with the residents and volunteer Noreen Boehm helped decorate the room.
A couple of the ladies fell in love with Elvis all over again and now have photos of him in their room.
