Claudia Williams to represent Narrabri Show Society, zone at Sydney Royal Easter Show

Narrabri Show Society’s 2024 Senior Young Woman competition winner Claudia Williams is bound for the Sydney Royal Easter Show after being named as a zone four representative.

Claudia, along with Gunnedah Show Society’s Chennelle Winsor, were announced as the two zone representatives at the zone final dinner held in Barraba at the weekend.

Zone four incorporates a large area of northern NSW, particularly towns in the North West and New England regions, and features many local show societies.

Claudia now has the honour of representing Narrabri at the Sydney Royal Easter Show in April.

“It was definitely quite a shock, but I am just so excited for this incredible experience,” Claudia said.

“I’m happy that this event will put Narrabri on the map.”

Since she was young, Claudia has always attended the show and would be in awe of the showgirls.

“I instantly had the thought at the back of my mind that I wanted to do this,” Claudia said.

“After returning home after being overseas, my friends suggested that I should give it a go.

“At first, I wasn’t sure, but it was really that support that pushed me.

“I kind of just jumped into it, made the most of everything and connected with some incredible girls who are now some of my closest friends.”

With it being Narrabri’s second representative at the Sydney Royal Easter Show in the last three years, Claudia is sure to be an excellent representative of the community and the Narrabri Show Society.

“The people you meet, the places you can go and the experiences you have are all what it means to be a showgirl and I could not be prouder to be a part of this rewarding program,” Claudia said.
