“Come to Colour”, that was the slogan the ABC used when colour television was introduced to Australia at midnight on March 1, 1975. Other networks used similar slogans – “Seven Colours Your World” (Channel 7), “Living Colour” (Channel 9) and “First in Colour” (Channel 10). Saturday marks the 50th anniversary since colour TV was introduced to living rooms across the nation. Colour TV had already been introduced to the US in 1954 before making its way throughout the world.
