Anzac Day traffic management fees to be reimbursed

Narrabri Shire Council will reimburse local RSL Sub-branches for application fees relating to traffic management and associated approvals.

The matter was brought up as a mayoral minute, moved by mayor Darrell Tiemens, and supported by all councillors.

“It is appropriate that council continues to demonstrate its strong support for these events and the dedicated efforts of the RSL sub-branches,” Cr Tiemens said.

“These fees, though relatively minor in cost, represent an administrative burden on voluntary organisations that already give so much to their local communities.”
