Narrabri Shire Council has published the latest results for PFAS testing in council’s water supplies.
Three bores which supply water to the Namoi Street reservoir again have provided a positive detection to PFAS, however, is below the current Australian Drinking Water Guidelines.
Detections of PFHxS have remained the same as the previous month’s results at 5ng/l, however, the detection of PFOS has increased from 6ng/l to 8ng/l which is consistent with levels reported in January and December.
In an update, council said the town water supply continues to be safe for consumption.
Council will continue to test the water supply monthly and report back to residents.
