Members of the public can continue to make submissions into the inquiry inyo proposed split up of the Hunter New England Local Health District.
The inquiry was initiated after being raised by Member for Barwon Roy Butler in parliament earlier this year.
Mr Butler is seeking to have the district split into two – one area which is centred around Newcastle and the Hunter and another for communities in western regions.
He has urged people to share their experiences with hospitals in the health district.
Previous reports on the extension, in The Courier and sister publications, included a link to make submissions online. However, extended allowance for submissions will take place via email.
