Narrabri Show Society’s Young Woman of the Year competition entrants put their best foot forward at a cocktail evening celebration held at The Exchange last Wednesday evening.

Show officials, families and guests attended the function, with each entrant participating in the Q&A-style event.

Two entrants have nominated for the senior title while the junior competition will see four compete for the honour. Senior entrants this year are Jessie Simpson and Lana Parkes.

In the junior section, the entrants are Beth Faris, Imogen Lubke-Wood, Taryn Kirk and Ava Smith.

Show society president Wendy McNair congratulated the young women on putting themselves forward as show representatives and for their great, detailed responses on the evening.

This year’s Young Woman competition judges are Janet Dampney, Ethan Towns and Kim Powell.

In a change to previous years, the competition’s winners will be announced on the Saturday evening of the show in front of the secretary’s office.
