Even with the flooding rains making things quite grey, the Wee Waa branch of the Country Women’s Association was able to create some colour with the community, at their Paint N’ Sip’ evening on March 29.

There were ‘good lookin’ chooks’ all around, painted with vibrant colours and patterns.

Some with cute eyes, some with cranky and some looking completely clueless.

Publicity officer for Wee Waa CWA, Michelle Gray, was very happy with how the event went and its continuous popularity.

“There were 12 painters on the night, and it was a very enjoyable time, lots of laughs and some seriously good artists in the room,” Michelle said.

“This is the third night we’ve had over the past 18 months and is proving to be quite popular and a great income for the CWA.

“We provide food, soft drinks and the paint supplies. The painters can bring their own drinks of choice.

“The attendees wanted to know when the next one is and what we will be painting, so I think it was a bit of a hit.

“It was good to hold something positive with all the flooding around Wee Waa,” Michelle said.
