Rotary remembers at annual Anzac dinner

The Rotary Club of Narrabri paid tribute to servicemen and women at its annual commemorative Anzac dinner at the RSL in April.

President Jocellin Jansson welcomed Narrabri RSL Sub-branch representative Gary Mason OAM to the Rotary commemoration.

Mr Mason again delivered an informative talk to the dinner gathering.

He was joined at the meeting by other members of the sub-branch and local ex-service personnel.

Before dinner was enjoyed by those who attended the commemoration, The Ode was played and was followed by the Last Post.

Len Hall led the dinner gathering in grace and provided a toast to the King and to Australia.

Darrell Tiemens offered a toast to the Returned and Services League of Australia, with Mr Mason responding to the toast.

Following the meal, a fine session was conducted by Wayne Madden with proceeds raised going to Legacy. The club will also make a $500 donation to Legacy.

Julie Drake thanked Mr Mason on behalf of Rotary.

Tricia Hadley OAM, who is involved with both the RSL sub-branch and Rotary, was thanked for her efforts in organising the dinner.
