Narrabri Clay Target Club members have been out and about during the past few weeks, with shooters having both major and minor success.

Narrabri did not shoot in April due to the NSW titles being held at Moree on the same weekend.

Four local shooters travelled out to Moree to compete at the 2025 NSW Continental Championships across the Easter long weekend.

Graham Baylis won AA-grade in the 50-target NSW point score event and Amande Farr won A-grade.

In the 100-target NSW double barrel event, John Gould placed second in C-grade and Amanda Farr placed second in A Grade.

Amanda also claimed the shoot’s ladies’ high gun and A-grade high gun honours.

The Moree club held their monthly shoot on Sunday, May 4, and only one Narrabri shooter travelled to take part. That was John Gould, who returned with two minor placings.

John placed second in the 60-target medley, consisting of 20-target double barrel, 20-target single barrel and 20-target points score, and also placed second in the 50-target continental championship.

Five Narrabri shooters travelled to Brewarrina Gun Club to contest the Barwon District Trap Championship on Saturday and Sunday, May 3 and 4.

Andrew Martin picked up cash in the 30-target double barrel cash divide, and Amanda Farr won A-grade in the 30-target single barrel event.

In the 30-target point score event, Graham Baylis was the veteran division winner and Jessica Haverhoek picked up second in C-grade.

In the handicap event, John Farr was second after a shoot of and Andrew Martin picked up fifth place.

The Narrabri Clay Target Club committee congratulated their local shooters on their success across the past month and are now looking forward to the club’s next shoot, which will be held this Sunday, May 18, from 9am.

The program for the event is as follows:

Event one – 45-target medley, event two – 50-target double barrel club championship, event three – 50-target handicap.
