Year 12 student Cady Davies is making big moves toward her future in healthcare.
As part of her School-Based Traineeship (SBAT), Cady is currently working at Narrabri District Hospital, gaining hands-on experience in nursing while completing her HSC.
SBATs give students like Cady the chance to get a head start on their careers – combining paid, part-time work with an industry-recognised vocational course, all while still at school.

Judah Hamblin is gaining hands-on experience and working towards an industry-recognised qualification – all while completing his HSC.
SBATs give students the unique opportunity to kickstart their careers by combining paid part-time work, on-the-job training, and vocational study. Whether it’s a traineeship completed at school or an apprenticeship that continues into full-time work, SBATs open doors to real-world skills and future employment.
