Earlier this term, the Narrabri High School Open Girls and Boys Softball teams took to the diamond in spirited contests that showcased skill, determination, and school pride.

The Open Girls team, proudly known as the Diamond Divas, travelled to Tamworth for a gala day to determine the North West Champion.

The girls brought their A-game, finishing with one win and one loss.

Lily McCahon delivered outstanding performances from the pitching mound, while Ava Smith and Rianna Gibbs were rock-solid behind the plate.

At bat, Taryn Kirk impressed with some powerful hitting that kept the opposition on their toes.

Meanwhile, the Open Boys team hosted MacIntyre High in what was a fiercely contested North West final.

The match began evenly, with both sides scoring in the opening innings.

However, MacIntyre proved too strong in the latter stages, eventually claiming a 15-9 win.

Max Hunter led by example from the mound, Michael Harris Clayton provided dependable catching, and Gabriel O’Connor thrilled the home crowd with a towering home run to right field.

A huge thank you to all the players for your hard work and for representing Narrabri High with pride and sportsmanship.
