Baan Baa is preparing for a few action-packed days with a school holiday tennis program and live entertainment at the hall.

A tennis clinic will be held at the Baan Baa courts on July 17 and 18, from 9am to 12pm.

The clinics will be conducted by Rod Kirk and all ages and abilities are welcome.

Registrations are $10 per player per day. A sausage sizzle lunch will be provided.

An entertaining evening on July 19 is on offer when Baan Baa hosts The Ukelele Man, the story of George Formby.

George was a popular British entertainer in the 1930s and 40s and their biggest film star for nearly a decade. He entertained more than three million service personnel during the Second World War.

Following the war, he toured the world, including a visit to Australia in 1947.

Marcel Cole has received rave reviews for his performances. Among his accolades are winner of best cabaret weekly award for the 2024 Adelaide Fringe, winner of best theatre for 2024 Newcastle Fringe and winner of the critical stages touring development award for the 2023 Sydney Fringe.

Join Marcel and his mother Katie at the Baan Baa Hall for an hour of music, comedy and storytelling.

Light refreshments, tea/coffee and non-alcoholic beverages will be available to purchase in support of the Baan Baa Ooranga Preschool.

BYO alcohol, however, patrons are asked not to bring glass and to drink responsibly.

Tickets to the Saturday, July 19, performance at 3pm cost $15.
