THERE are always good and exciting things happening inside the Wee Waa levee bank, so it was fitting that a team named the Levee Legends raised a whopping $6,200 for the Leukaemia Foundation.

Taking on the World’s Greatest Shave to help raise vital funds for life-changing blood cancer support and research, the Wee Waa High School (WWHS) group included Reggie Graham, Joey Crutcher, Johno Wilson, Riley Haynes, Brock Allen, Harry Evans, Steve Catt, Roley O’Shea, Jason Nash and Janette Roy.

A special mention goes to the volunteers who happily took on hairdressing duties including Cindy O’Neill, Jett Palmer, Mason Humphries, Amber Conomos, Alisha Conomos, Billy Shearin, and Liam Crutcher.

Not only did they generously give their time, but they also displayed some impressive barbering and styling skills.

“You are all truly legends for stepping up and getting involved in such an important cause,” WWHS said.

WWHS thanked Mrs Mallinson for coordinating the fun and worthy event, bringing the school community together to support individuals and families affected by blood cancer.

The school also expressed a heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated and supported the Levee Legends team.

“Your generosity, encouragement, and support are what made this all possible,” it said.
