NARRABRI Netball Association’s under-12s players have rewritten the record books, with the representative team making

history by winning Division 4 at the Junior State Titles in Sydney.

The incredible achievement makes the team the first Narrabri side to ever earn a podium finish in the Association’s history, said Narrabri Netball.

“The Narrabri 12s team has made me and our community incredibly proud, not just Narrabri but also Wee Waa, as many of this team are Wee Waa girls as well as myself and Bernadette (Melton) our manager,” said team coach Hannah Hall.

“The girls showed outstanding grit, determination and teamwork throughout the three days of Junior State Titles, losing just two of their 20 games by the narrowest of margins.

“They played with confidence, won many of their games convincingly, and never gave up, no matter the challenge.

“This is one of the most dedicated, respectful and resilient teams I have ever had the privilege to coach.

“They took on board every correction, every direction and every acknowledgement with maturity beyond their years.

“This Division 4 title is a testament to the hard work of every player, coach and family who supported the team.

“I couldn’t be prouder of what this group has achieved.

Narrabri Netball described the achievement as “an unforgettable moment for these girls, their coaches, families, and our whole netball community.”

“Across the weekend, our 12s showed incredible consistency and class,” added the Association.

“Their hard work, composure, and determination were on display every time they took the court.

“Together, these results, including our fabulous top 10 finishes by the 13s and 14s,

make this our most successful State Titles campaign in Narrabri Netball’s history – an achievement that will be remembered for years to come.

“Congratulations to all of our players, coaches, managers, umpires, families, and supporters.”
