A trivia night fundraiser for Narrabri’s Dolly Parton Imagination Library program was a tremendous success.
The Narrabri Rotaract Club dedicated its regular quiz night to the important literary cause.
The Tourist Hotel beer garden was packed to the brim with trivia buffs for the evening.

A round dedicated to Dolly trivia kicked off the proceedings.
Almost a week following the trivia night, the global music icon’s death would result in an outpouring of tributes for the singer-songwriter who was also known for her many humanitarian causes.
One of those causes was the library program, which started in the United States.

Dolly founded the program in 1995 through her Dollywood Foundation, in tribute to her father who could not read or write.
Dolly set out to ensure children had access to books irrespective of their family income.

The initiative arrived in Australia almost 20 years later, in 2013, and more recently has included Narrabri thanks to generous local support and a key group of individuals who strive to ensure children in the shire can receive a free book every month from birth until starting school.
The local Dolly Parton Imagination Library group is now busily planning its second Harvest Moon fundraiser, this year being held on 17 October.
