The Narrabri Ladies’ Open was a fantastic day of golf, friendship and competition, with 63 players travelling from near and far to take part in the annual event at Narrabri Golf Club.

Players enjoyed a great day on the course, with Karleigh Cook and Lisa Kelly taking out the nett title with an impressive 50 points. The gross winners were Michelle Johnston and Jane McWhirter, who finished with 31.

Ros Williams and Myra Joseph claimed the nett runner-up honours on 47 points, while Louise Penberthy and Fiona Smart were the gross runners-up with 29.

There was also plenty of competition across the individual novelty events.
Sandra Nott and Maree Taylor were the front nine nett winners with 23, while Prim Winston-Smith and Rose Cameron claimed the back nine with 24.

The nearest-the-pin prizes went to Tammy Townsend on the fifth, Michelle Johnston on the eighth, Nanette Watson on the 12th and Pam Waters on the 16th.

Straightest drive winners Margot Leitch (B-grade), Leisa Eather (A-grade) and Nat Wohling (C-grade).
In the driving events, Michelle Johnston claimed the A-grade long drive, Ros Williams took out B-grade and Jacki Ward won C-grade.

Organisers extended their thanks to everyone who helped make the event a success.
The afternoon was rounded out with music from Gilly and a wine tasting provided by Allie from Bunnamagoo Wines, giving the players a chance to relax and socialise after their round.
