The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance with an urgent inter-hospital transfer from Narrabri Hospital to John Hunter Hospital, Newcastle, at 1am on Saturday 17 October.
A woman in her 50s, suffering a serious medical condition, was stabilised by hospital staff and the NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic and the NSW Health doctor from the helicopter’s critical care medical team before being airlifted to Newcastle.
