For families living across regional, rural and remote NSW, decisions about education are rarely simple.
Distance, the timing of boarding, the needs and interests of individual children and the financial commitment involved can all play a part.
At Calrossy Anglican School in Tamworth, we believe where a young person lives – or their family circumstances – should not limit where their education can take them.
Applications for Calrossy’s 2028 Scholarships are now open, with a broad range of scholarships, bursaries and boarding awards providing opportunities for students to access a Calrossy education.
And those opportunities recognise that every student is different.
Some scholarships recognise academic achievement and potential. Others celebrate students who contribute across many areas of school life or demonstrate strengths in music, dance, drama and visual arts.
There are also opportunities specifically designed to support rural and regional families, boarding students, indigenous students, families with financial need and young people whose character, involvement and potential suggest they will make a positive contribution to the Calrossy community.
It means a scholarship opportunity at Calrossy isn’t necessarily about being at the top of the class.
It might be about a talent your child has worked hard to develop, their willingness to get involved, their connection to community, their potential, or simply providing some additional support to make a Calrossy education possible.
And financial support is only one part of creating greater access for regional families.

No two students are the same, which is why Calrossy offers a range of scholarships, learning pathways and opportunities.
For some, boarding is the right choice. Calrossy welcomes girls and boys from years 7–12, providing a place where learning, wellbeing, friendships and new experiences are supported by a dedicated boarding community.
For others, the right pathway may mean staying at home for longer.
From 2027, eCalrossy Distance Education expands to include years 5–10, allowing students to access a Calrossy education from home.
Students learn in real time with teachers and classmates, while residential schools throughout the year bring them together for practical learning, friendships and wider school experiences.
For regional families, it means there is no single pathway.
Your child might learn through eCalrossy before transitioning to boarding.
They might join Calrossy as a boarder or day student.
And a scholarship, bursary or boarding award may help make that next step possible.
Applications for 2028 scholarships are now open, with applications closing in February 2027.
Every scholarship and award has different eligibility requirements, so families are encouraged to explore the opportunities available and discover which pathway could be right for their child.
