St Peters Lutheran College has a proud boarding tradition, welcoming boys and girls from rural and regional Queensland since its founding in 1945.
Today, St Peters is the premier co-educational boarding school in Brisbane and one of Australia’s leading schools where students excel across academic and co-curricular domains.
The boarding community at St Peters is a true reflection of our diverse society and one of the school’s greatest strengths.
From Queensland, across Australia and beyond, the boys and girls of St Peters boarding represent many nationalities and cultures.
During their time living and learning together, they forge friendships across boarding and day school communities –something they take with them well beyond their school years.
It is truly a thriving community.
Located on a leafy 21ha campus in Indooroopilly, just minutes from Brisbane’s CBD, St Peters offers boarders the best of both worlds.
Students enjoy access to the academic, cultural and sporting opportunities of Brisbane’s premier co-educational day and boarding school while benefiting from the support and sense of belonging of a close-knit residential community.
For many rural families, the transition to boarding can feel daunting. At St Peters, we ensure every student feels known, valued and supported from the moment they arrive.
Experienced boarding staff work closely with families and teachers to create an environment where students develop confidence, independence and resilience while maintaining strong connections with home.

As a co-educational boarding school, St Peters enables families to keep siblings together throughout their secondary education.
Boys and girls live and learn alongside one another, developing respectful relationships and social confidence that prepare them well for life.
One of the ways St Peters supports our boarding community is through scholarships and bursaries, which helps some families access the vast opportunities available in a St Peters education.
Two key programs are available for boarders from rural and regional Australian locations.
Boarding scholarships provide a reduction in tuition fees for students living in rural and remote areas of Australia.
Successful candidates demonstrate excellence in the classroom and a commitment to immersing themselves in co-curricular opportunities. New students to St Peters entering years 7 to 11 can apply.
Rural leadership scholarships are a special opportunity supported by one of our generous St Peters families, who recognise the need to support aspiring community and business leaders from regional Australia.
In addition to excellence in academic and co-curricular areas, successful rural leadership scholars demonstrate a strong desire to lead and serve others, inspiring the best in those around them and seeking to make a positive difference.

Sibling concession is where siblings in boarding receive a concession that applies to the second and subsequent siblings while simultaneously attending St Peters boarding.
Boarder sibling concessions are available at the rate of 10 per cent off tuition for the second boarder and 20 per cent off tuition for the third and subsequent boarder.
Through this range of scholarships and concessions available to boarding families, St Peters supports a community where aspiring leaders are supported and our community is strengthened.
During their time boarding at St Peters, boys and girls from all backgrounds live, learn and thrive in an environment that presents countless opportunities in sport, music and academia.
