KR Property is embarking on a major investment in Narrabri, restoring a historic Barwan Street home as a long-term base for its growing business while celebrating recognition among NSW’s leading real estate agencies.
The locally owned agency has purchased 92 Barwan Street, a property dating back to the late 1800s, which will undergo extensive renovations and restoration ahead of its planned opening as KR Property’s new office in 2027.
The substantial restoration will preserve the building’s historic character while giving the growing agency a permanent base for its next phase of development.
KR Property principal Kim Rozendaal said the project was about more than relocating the business, with the agency aiming to preserve the building’s character while creating a space its team and the wider community could be proud of.

“For us, this project is about much more than relocating our office. It’s about breathing new life into a beautiful old building, preserving a piece of Narrabri’s history and investing in the region that has supported us throughout our journey. We want to create something that our team, our clients and the wider community can be proud of,” Kim said.
The restoration will require significant work, with KR Property planning to share updates, photographs and videos documenting the transformation as it progresses.
“We’ve worked incredibly hard to build KR Property into the business it is today, and this next chapter is something we’re particularly proud of. We’re not just creating a new office, we’re establishing a long-term home for our team and a business that we hope will continue to serve Narrabri for many years to come,” Kim said.
The investment comes as KR Property celebrates being named one of four finalists in the Small Agency category at the 2026 Real Estate Institute of New South Wales (REINSW) Awards for Excellence in Sydney.

KR Property is investing in the future of Narrabri with extensive renovation and restoration works underway at 92 Barwan Street. The new office is expected to be unveiled in the new year and will serve as a larger base for the growing business.
The finalist position recognised the agency’s achievements alongside other businesses in the NSW real estate industry, highlighting the success regional agencies can achieve at state level.
“Being recognised amongst the best in NSW is incredibly humbling, particularly coming from a regional community like ours,” Kim said.
“We are immensely proud of what we have achieved, but we know that none of it would be possible without the people who have supported us along the way.”
Kim said the recognition reflected the relationships and trust built with clients, local businesses and the wider community.

“Every client who has trusted us with their property, every person who has recommended our services, every local business that has supported us and every member of our community who has encouraged us has played a part in this achievement. We are truly grateful,” Kim said.
The agency’s growth is underpinned by its philosophy of People, Passion and Purpose, which guides its approach to property sales, property management and community relationships.
“We have an incredible team who genuinely care about what they do and the people they do it for. To share this recognition together is very special,” Kim said.
“We may be a small agency in a country town, but we have enormous pride in our work and in the community we represent.”
The restoration of 92 Barwan Street marks the next chapter for KR Property as it builds on its growth and the recognition earned by its team.
