A former Narrabri resident reports he and his UK friends arrived to take part in the Paris half marathon on Sunday, with an estimated 44,000 other runners from all over the world. On arrival they were told the event was cancelled. France’s Prime Minister had decreed that day that gatherings of more than 5000 people would not take place due to the risk of the coronavirus.
