As at 6am today there have been 4707 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Australia following an increase of 348 new cases since 6am yesterday.
Of the 4,707 confirmed cases in Australia 20 have died from COVID-19.
One of those was a 95-year-old Dorothy Henderson Lodge resident in Macquarie Park who became the ninth NSW victim yesterday.
That was confirmed this morning by NSW Health executive director of health protection Dr Jeremy McAnulty.
Dr McAnulty announced that of the 4707 confirmed cases in Australia, 2182 of those are in NSW.
As at 8pm yesterday there were 150 new cases in NSW, adding to the 2032 confirmed cases at 8pm on Monday.
Meanwhile the ABC has reported today that COVID-19 is now present in every local health district in NSW.
“The Far West Local Health District has confirmed a resident of Broken Hill has tested positive for COVID-19 and is self-isolating at home,” an ABC report said.
As at 8pm on Monday, March 30, the Far West Local Health District was the last of the 15 NSW local health districts to have no confirmed cases.
