How very French! In France shops specialising in wine, cheese and pastries have been declared essential businesses. And in the US, the governor of Connecticut, Ned Lamont, has added gun shops to the list of essential businesses. There is a push in the US to make petshops essential businesses. In California, marijuana is listed as ‘essential.’ In the US there has been a surge in the purchase of guns and in Victoria a surge in applications for gun licences.
