Unusual news: A 700,000 hectare cattle station on the NT-Qld border, has been bought from its Chinese owner by an Australian farming family for $53 million according to several news reports. Federal Parliamentarian Bob Katter welcomed the news, “It’s enormously gratifying to have an example of Australians buying back the farm,” he is reported as saying.
