Narrabri and Boggabri showgrounds are two of 29 showgrounds to be given safety upgrades with a $9.2 million improvement program funded by the NSW Government.
At Narrabri Showground the old caretaker’s house will be replaced.
The harness racing stewards’ building will have external cladding replaced.
Old tiered seating will be replaced with new aluminium seats and the Pony Club will also have its floodlights checked and secured.
Boggabri Showground will have tiered seating replaced with new aluminium seating, repairs made to the control tower, four sets of access steps will be replaced on its toilet block and an underground power supply will also be installed to an onsite water pump.
