Business may have slowed dramatically for many operations during the COVID-19 crisis but Australia Post is not one of them. Australia Post reports processing two million parcels every day – more than the busiest period at Christmas time. To help handle the volume Australia Post has chartered eight extra charter flights totalling 17 air freighter flights per day. And processing of parcels goes on 24/7. Meanwhile, a request from Australia Post – if you are sending parcels use flat packaging if you can so more can be loaded into the planes.
