The police-manned NSW-Victoria border crossings have yielded more than protection from the spread of COVID-19. Police report apprehension of some trying to pass through who have outstanding warrants or other issues to be dealt with. And police will issue up to 60 COVID infringement penalty notices of $1000 after officers discovered more than 60 people had gathered at a party in Sydney in breach of the Public Health restrictions. Thirty were arrested. Police have been told the house had been booked via an online rental company.
