A journalist driving her Victorian registered car in North Queensland has been the victim of what she has labelled ‘plate hate’ – a man spotting her Victorian number plate yelled out ‘I hope you didn’t bring the coronavirus with you!’ She referred to it as ‘state tribalism’, others have called it ‘provincial nationalism.’
