There are many who will remember the much loved TV ‘personality’ Humphrey B. Bear, created in 1965. The ‘B’ initial stood for ‘Bear’ – his full name originally was ‘Bear Bear’ but a competition to find a new name yielded the ‘Humphrey B’ meaning his full name was ‘Humphrey Bear Bear.’
